Katerina Peiros, Principal

Katerina Peiros, the Principal of Hartwell Legal, is an expert Incapacity, Wills and Estates lawyer. She is accredited as a specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria.
Katerina has practised in this field since 2006 and trained with the top Wills and Estates lawyers in Victoria before setting up her own practice.
She is an officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria and is entitled to practise in Victoria. Katerina holds a double degree from Monash University – Bachelors of Law and Science (Psychology).

Pauline Romeo, Special Counsel

Pauline brings to Hartwell her many years of legal experience, with over 12 years post-admission experience in the area of wills and estates law at a large national law firm. Pauline has extensive experience and expertise in advising on all aspects of estate planning, including complex testamentary trusts, asset protection, trust structuring and powers of attorney. Pauline also has extensive experience in preparing complex Probate applications in various Australian jurisdictions and administering significant estates.
Prior to 2004, Pauline gained broad commercial experience practising in the area of corporate advisory and tax at a large national law firm. She has acted for various clients, including large companies, government departments and not-for-profit organisations. She has prepared and advised on a range of commercial agreements, including sale of business, licensing, consultancy, partnering and shareholders' agreements, as well as advice on other areas such as privacy and trade practices law.

Julie Chambers, Senior Associate

Julie is skilled in advising people when it comes to planning for their family in the future. She does so by ensuring people have properly prepared their estate planning documentation including their Wills, Testamentary Trusts and their Powers of Attorney.
Julie also works closely with individuals and families for simple and complex estates when a loved one passes away to ensure that their estates are administered properly.
Having had the unique opportunity to practice law for over 25 years in New South Wales, Queensland, New Zealand and Victoria, she has a broad range of skills available for her clients to assist with their legal matters.
These skills allow her to provide her clients with a personalised approach for their Probate and Estate Planning requirements and also when representing clients for any estate litigation matters.

Ari Morris, Senior Associate

Ari has a wealth of experience in estate planning, succession law and deceased estate litigation.
He works closely with clients to develop comprehensive strategies, offering advice on drafting both standard and complex Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Deeds of Family Arrangement. His extensive experience enables him to manage intricate legal matters efficiently and effectively.
Ari’s experience also extends to probate caveats, genealogical searches and liaising with State Treasuries in relation to bona vacantia applications.

Angela Sgambaro, Senior Associate

Angela has been working in the legal industry since 2012, working as a receptionist and legal assistant while undertaking her studies.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Criminology and went on to complete her Master of Laws in 2021.
Having worked in these various client facing roles, Angela is committed to providing a tailored client experience so clients feel heard and supported in a manner best suited to them.
Angela has experience in applications for Probate and Letters of Administration, administering estates both standard and complex, and estate and succession planning for individuals and families of all walks of life.
